A workshop was held with actors from HNK / Ž, Business model of smart tourism was presented
Mostar, December 16, 2021 - Organized by the Tourist Board of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton / County, a workshop was held today in Mostar where the actors from HNK / Ž were presented the Smart Tourism Business Model developed in the SMARTMED project - Empowering the Mediterranean for SMART tourism, as well as the pilot project TZHNK / Ž - Digital tools for competitive tourism in HNK / Ž, which is defined on the basis of the stated business model.
The business model of smart tourism is a strategic framework that should contribute to the development of the Mediterranean as an attractive, smart and inclusive destination, strengthening the capacity of state and public bodies and coordinated contributions to existing and future initiatives in the Mediterranean. The business model is the result of a state-of-the-art analysis consisting of data collected in collaboration with eight project partners, each of whom provided data and conclusions related to their territories in the Mediterranean. innovative and sustainable tourism development.
The business model will be the basis for other activities and will serve to define typologies and criteria for pilot initiatives in local areas, as well as to establish local networks of public and private tourism stakeholders and cross-sectoral actors, to encourage pilot initiatives as active experiments in cooperation with multiple stakeholders.
The SMARTMED project was approved within the Interreg MED Transnational Cooperation Program 2014-2020 and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
