Holding a seminar Neretva River Biodiversity
within the Exchange project
Mostar, 28/06/2021 - As part of the activities of the project "Exchange - Explore Cross-border Aquatic Biodiversity ", the Tourist Board of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton is organizing a seminar on the Neretva River Biodiversity. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Hotel Mostar in Mostar.
The aim of the seminar is to acquaint tourist guides and representatives of institutions with the natural heritage of Mostar and the Neretva River, or the biodiversity of the Neretva River, for the future presentation of natural heritage to tourists - visitors to Mostar.
The main goal of the Exchange project is to strengthen and diversify the tourist offer by exploring crossborder aquatic biodiversity and enabling better management and sustainable use of cultural and natural heritage. The project is developing a new cross-border tourism product – the Blue Pass, which enables visits of new thematic routes: Dubrovnik and Aquarium (CRO), Kotor and Aquarium Boka (MNE), Hutovo Blato Aqua Path, and Mostar Old Bridge and River Neretva (BiH), and attracts more tourists in the area.
The project is implemented by five partners: University of Dubrovnik (lead partner) Croatia; Tourist Organisation of Kotor, Montenegro; University of Montenegro, Institute of Marine Biology, Montenegro; The Tourist Board of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the Public Company “ Hutovo blato Nature Park” d.o.o. Čapljina, BiH. The project implementation period is 15/08/2020 – 14/08/2022, and the total value of the project is 1,686,047.15 euros, of which 1,433,140.05 euros is co-financed by the European Union. The budget of TZHNK in the project is 253,066.35 euros.
The project is co-financed by ERDF and IPA II funds of the European Union.
