The Museum of Herzegovina


The Museum of Herzegovina was founded in 1950 with the goal of finding,collecting,keeping and presenting to the public the abundant cultural-historical heritage of Mostar and Herzegovina. Within the framework of its collctions,the Museum is possession of many tens of thousands of meseum items,documents photographs andothermaterial.Arheological,ethnographic,literal-historical library ,numismatic,writen and other exhibits and program in the exhinition area and Museum depots,very vividly and in a picturesque manner withcontinuity,have depicted and testified the condensed happeningswich constantly have taken place in Herzegovina and Mostar. The Museum of Herzegovina is placed at the memorial house of Dzemal Bijedic, at 4 Bajatova Street.It is open to visitors and researchers for scintific and publistic research, and as a part documentary collection ,at the specified area,documentary films from the impressive film archives of the Museum.
